Today we talked more about the letter M by coloring some M words like Monkey, Moose, Mail, etc. We also finished our shape cutouts that we started working on yesterday! I've been looking for creative ways to teach Luke thru fun. He's not big on sitting still and being 'taught'. A friend of mine told me about a game she plays with her daughter. She said that she would take different colored construction paper and set them out on the floor. Next she would call out a color and have her daughter jump to the color she called out. I loved the idea and knew that Luke would too. I decided to expand on her idea and cut out three sizes of each shape. Now we can work on shapes, colors, matches and sizes! He LOVES it! Extra bonus is that they found that they can build things with the shapes as well! It's super cute to sit here listening to Will helping Luke learn by playing with him!
